'The Legend' a poem by Kaz (Keziah Maxfield). 1986.
This poem was written after I first fell under the stary infatuation of being Rob's biggest fan for 10+ yrs. I wrote it about the guy I was getting to know and for him. I gave it to Rob and he told me he hated the last couple of lines...sort of. Then he folded it in his careful way and carried it in his wallet for a time. It's nice to see it again. Kaz.

"Walking in the Parlor" by Lee Hammons, clawhammer banjo
"Walking in the Parlor," played by Lee Hammons (1883-1980) on clawhammer banjo at his home in Pocahontas County, W.Va. Dwight Diller took me and my friend David Winston up to visit the Hammonses -- Sherman, Maggie and Burl -- in the summer of 1973. Lee Hammons was a friend of theirs, but was not closely related.

100 Book Club "Shooting For the Stars" - TCom Studios - Ohio University - Athens, OH - 1994
"A couple of years after The Garden Party broke up, I shared a four track recording of my quirky guitar work with Bill Wagner. A few weeks later in 1994 he asked me if I would play bass guitar in a new project he was working on. I expressed misgivings about my ability to even play bass, but he told me he knew I could do it, so 100 Book Club was born. 100 Book Club was: Bill Wagner: Guitar and vocals Robert Rial: Bass and backing vocals Matt Hanrahan: Electric Piano, samples, vocals Andy Zboralski: Drums This song, "Shooting For the Stars" was one of three songs we recorded at T-Com Studios. (You gotta love those T-Com students giving all of us all those free hours of studio time to be their guinea pigs!!)" - Robert J. Rial

15th National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Athens, Ohio
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), in partnership with the City of Athens and the Athens Police Department would like to invite our area community to participate in the 15th National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday April 28, 2018 from
10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Elks Lodge parking lot, 600 West Union Street. On this date, the Athens Police Department and DEA will again be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs at sites nationwide. Previous national efforts were very successful, thanks to local agency partnerships with the DEA. We would like to encourage even greater participation this spring, and we would like to count on our community to become involved with having these prescription medications disposed of properly. Thank you!
